GENERAL MECHANICAL WORK

Our company has a variety of machine tools that allow us to offer the customer various types of work such as

MILLING

Milling is a process for the removal of chips with which to obtain a wide range of surfaces through the rotary motion of a multi-edged tool.

TURNING

Turning is a chip removal process in which the workpiece is fixed to a spindle and rotated while the cutting tool moves along the workpiece giving it the desired shape.

WELDING

Welding is the process that allows the physical/chemical union of two joints by melting them, or by using filler metal.

There are various techniques that we can implement such as:

  • TIG welding uses a tungsten electrode to create the electric arc needed to melt the metal. An inert gas (such as Argon) is used to protect the molten metal from oxidation. TIG welding is a very precise technique that can be used to weld very thin and delicate materials, such as aluminum. It is also a very clean technique and creates little slag.
  • MIG/MAG welding, also called "wire welding", uses a continuous welding wire that is fed through a welding torch. A shielding gas is used to protect the molten metal from oxidation. MIG/MAG welding is a very versatile welding technique that can be used to weld many different types of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel. It is also a very fast welding technique that can be used to weld large amounts of metal.
  • MMA welding uses an electrode coated with flux powder to create the electric arc needed to melt the metal. The electrode coating creates a shielding gas that protects the molten metal from oxidation. MMA welding is a very versatile welding technique that can be used to weld many different types of materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum. However, this welding technique produces a lot of slag.

BENDING

Bending with a press brake which is a machine tool that allows us to make folds on sheets of various thicknesses. Up to a thickness of 5 mm

CUT

We have the ability to perform cuts with various machines in our possession such as:

  • The saw is a machine tool for cutting various materials such as metals, wood and plastic even of considerable thickness with speed and considerable safety through the saw blade. Usually the cut concerns bars or profiles.
  • The shear is a machine tool that is used to cut materials precisely and quickly. It allows you to reduce production costs, minimizing waste and optimizing the use of materials. This cut usually concerns sheet metal
  • Manual plasma cutting is a particular process that is used to cut sheets of different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, plastic and even mixed materials. It is carried out using a tool called a plasma torch. With manual plasma cutting it is possible to make shaped cuts

DRILLING

As regards drilling work, in addition to the classic column drill, we also have the radial drill that allows us to make holes, slots, grooves on large and heavy pieces that could hardly be positioned on the plane of ordinary machine tools. In this type of machine, in fact, it is the tool that is brought into position on the piece
